Short and sweet
Things are getting more exciting! The season opens in less than a month, and preseason kicks off in less than a WEEK! Can you feel the thrill, the tension in the air? I knew you could.
-The Pens made some special ticket deliveries. Watch the videos, they are cinematic gold.
-Pens camp opens Thursday!
That's about all I have for in-depth on the Penguins, or anyone else, right now. A longer preseason post is coming soon, although it might have to wait until the fun-filled weekend of the Eastern HLOG convention in which I get kicked out the Capitals practice for my Penguins jersey and catcalling.

On a different note, as a semi-Bruins fan I felt the urge to post this. I need to dig into their club a bit, but I really hope they start off better than they ended. How's that knee, Patrice?
Oh, guess who The Hockey News picked to win the Stanley Cup this year?
Go Pens.

If you think I'm not bringing a tranquilizer gun and a butterfly net to that practice, you're sadly mistaken.
Oh, and. wasn't The Hockey News the same publication that picked the 'Canes to finish 28th the year they won the Cup?
...just saying ;)
Awwww, killjoy.
Predictions are fun, and are to be taken with a grain of salt as they most often don't come true (although, in this case, they obviously will). They also said that next year the Capitals will make a pretty good showing, being a true contender for the Cup.
Anyone else planning on getting NHL 08 when it comes out? I don't think I've been this excited for a video game since FF7, when I was sixteen.
Dwayne, I'm excited, but I'm also cheap and I bought 07...usually I like to get them every other year or so, so there's a more substantial difference, and so I don't go broke. Obviously once you get it you're going to have to let me know if it's really worth it.
Dwayne: I was thinking about it, it looks like a really interesting game (I love the idea of the adapting AI), but I gotta budget right now. :p So we'll see.
I feel your pain. I'll be putting this on the CC for sure, and to hell with the consequences. This fall is ridiculous for games I want to buy. I'm going to end up living on ramen again for a few months, I can see that already >.<
Ramen is a health food! They only add the pure preservatives, none of that other crap that people eat, like 'dietary fiber' and 'low sodium'. Pssh, who needs that, really?
