Oh no....oooooh no..

Dear Ty Conklin,

If you are in net against the Hurricanes tonight, I wanted to give you some words of comfort and support in facing your old demons:

You are not the only one scared of Rod Brind'Amour's face. Or his wraparound scoring technique. Please for the love of god stay in the net.

Lots of love,
Elly

p.s. I like the new pads. Flashy.

Conks with yet another win. The dude better be up for Vezina, Hart, and Lester B. Pearson voting. He's the force driving the Penguins while Crosby, Roberts, and others mend.

At least Fleury skated today. There's hope of a capable back-up on the horizon. Sorry, Sabu... you just aren't getting the job done.

I like how both of our last two posts quote knob hockey in the subject line. It never goes away.

I mentioned his new pads when I did my NHL segment for my friend's sports radio show. This does not however, lessen my irritation with Mr. Conklin.

Hmm, I guess I wasn't paying attention to these new pads.... Blast!

ckim: Yes, they're mostly white with some gold on them...although I swear he had two new pairs. I might just be seeing things, though.

Teebz: Veznia, really? You think he's playing that well? I won't argue that he's done a bangup job so far, and really, I'm REALLY happy about it, but I'm not so sure he's Brodeur level yet.

Dwayne: I'm waiting for the t-shirts, hehe.

Steph: I was wondering if you would notice that. I was silly for thinking otherwise...yay knobhockey!

Kirsten: Hahaha, you and me both, although his record is somewhat winning me over. Hard to be mad at the goalie that's given you a 9 game win streak. (Or was it 10?)

If Jim Carey, "the net detective", can win a Vezina, Conky can.

By the way, if you're a fan of the Trailer Park Boys, you know who Conky is.

If not, here's Conky: http://www.pocketbikepics.com/data/502/medium/conky8.jpg.
